We want to make sure you have the most wonderful holiday on your Macdonald Resort so we're here to help make that happen. Based on guest feedback here's our list of most frequently asked questions which may help in advance of your stay with us.
Can I make changes to my booking?
If you have any questions about your booking or need to make any amendments or cancellation please contact our Resort Reservations team. Visit our Contact page for opening hours and number.
What are the check-in and check-out times for my accommodation?
All accommodation is ready for your arrival from 5pm on the first day of your holiday. All guests are welcome to use the leisure and dining facilities on their resort prior to 5pm should they arrive early and their accommodation is not ready. If you expect to check-in late on your day of arrival please let your resort know in advance as most resorts close check-in at 10pm each evening and you will not get access to your property after 10pm without prior arrangement. Macdonald Resorts are not accountable for any additional accommodation costs should guests arrive after 10pm without the resort being notified in advance.
All guests are required to vacate their accommodation no later than 10am on the day of departure unless a late check-out has been arranged in advance (additional fees may apply).
If you wish to check in/out earlier or later then please contact reservations on 0344 879 9102 (option one). Both are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed in peak periods.
Do I have full use of the leisure facilities at the resort?
During your stay you have full use of the public swimming pool(s), steam rooms and saunas included in the price of your holiday. You can also use the on-site gym and any tennis/basketball courts. Equipment hire for tennis rackets may incur additional cost and/or deposit at reception, please enquire at your resort for more details.
Is Wi-Fi Available at my Resort?
All resorts have Wi-Fi within public areas. In most locations this also extends to your accommodation but due to the rural locations of many resorts please note the signal may at times be intermittent. Wi-Fi is free for guests who book direct, fees may apply to those who book through other travel sites/operators.
Is there free parking at my accommodation?
Every resort offers guests complimentary parking on-site. Where possible this is next to your accommodation but on occasion may be within a free car park nearby. Resort layouts vary greatly so if you have any accessibility requirements please contact your chosen resort for more detailed information.
Are bedlinen and towels provided?
All linen and towels for your accommodation is included in the price of your holiday. Additional linen changes and extra towels can be ordered at reception but are subject to additional costs.
Are there any additional charges once I've paid for my holiday?
Only Club members and Time Exchange guests are required to pay for their use of electricity during their holiday. This is metered during your stay and we ask guests to be mindful of their usage to minimise this cost and impact on the environment. All our resorts in England, Scotland & Wales is charged at £0.40p per kW and Spanish resorts at €0.40c. All costs are calculated based on your usage and are payable on departure.
If you have booked direct with us you have no other extra charges unless you have requested any optional extras (see below). If you have booked through a third party then you are required to pay for wi-fi during your stay (if required). Costs very per resort, please contact reservations in advance of arrival should you wish to know the amount in advance.
The only other charges will be for extras you have agreed during your holiday such as additional cleaning, extra linen changes, early arrival/late late departure etc. Please see the table below for our optional extras:

Is smoking/vaping permitted in Macdonald Resorts?
Smoking or vaping is prohibited in all properties across Macdonald Resorts, including those within Europe. Where properties have external patio or balcony areas ash trays are provided for guests who wish to smoke outside their accommodation. Within the resort grounds please observe smoking signs and only smoke in permitted designated areas.
Are your properties suitable for guests with restricted mobility?
We have a huge variety of accommodation types across our resorts in the UK and Spain, some of which are designed to be fully accessible. If you have special requirements please contact us directly prior to booking for advice on the best property type to suit your needs.
Can I bring my dog on holiday?
We permit up to 2 dogs per property at our resorts in Scotland and Wales; Spey Valley, Lochanhully, Forest Hills and Plas Talgarth. Please visit our Pet Policy page for full details and additional costs.
Do you supply cots or high chairs?
To guarantee availability we ask that guests pre-order any cots or high chairs they require, please see the table above for associated costs. These can be booked within your pre-arrival form or by calling us on 0344 879 9102. Requests for additional equipment once guests have already arrived will be met where items are available but cannot be guaranteed.
Is there a TV in my accommodation?
All accommodation includes a TV within the main living area, some bedrooms also have additional TVs but this varies per resort and accommodation size. TVs in UK properties offer Freeview channels and do not include access to Sky or cable services. In our European properties, the channels will predominantly be broadcast in the home language.
Can you help me arrange a transfer from the airport?
If you’ve booked one of our Spanish resorts we can arrange transfers to get you from the airport to your resort. These can be shared transfers or private, prices vary per destination. Please contact us to discuss your requirements or visit our prefered operator Ruby Blue Travel for an instant quote. We can also recommend local car hire companies.

Guests are liable to the Resorts for damages and losses caused by them without the Resort having to prove the fault. Personal property or other items brought by the guest are there at the guest's risk. The Resorts accept no liability for loss, damage, destruction, or indeed for financial losses, except in cases of gross negligence or intent on the part of the Resort. The Resort does not accept any liability for theft or damage caused to materials brought in by the customer. Guests are liable for any loss or damage caused and will be charged on a case by case basis for any additional cleaning or replacement of resort property required.
