Southport & Ainsdale Golf Club

Southport and Ainsdale, established in 1906, remains without doubt one of the most enjoyable and exciting challenges in golf. With historic charm and famous Ryder Cup History, the club's outstanding reputation led The R&A too choose them as an Amateur Championship Venue in 2023.

Weaving between some of the finest coastal dunes and heathland, the club is lauded for its very well maintained and undulating fairways, its rolling greens, and its strategic bunkers. All sit serenely among the colourful yellow gorse and purple heather.

A true championship course, Southport and Ainsdale offers a magnificent test of golf, especially when a round can be accompanied by a fresh breeze coming in across the Irish Sea.

Delamere Forest Golf Club

Nestled on the edge of ancient woodland, Delamere Forest Golf Club offers year-round playability and a challenge for pros and enthusiasts alike. The sandy base of their heathland terrain ensures excellent golfing conditions without the need for temporary greens or tees, ensuring a consistently great experience. Even after a heavy downpour, the greens still play like they haven’t seen rain in weeks.

Herbert Fowler's design, featuring a fine collection of challenging par fives, short and difficult par fours, and some long and testing par threes, makes this hidden gem a true game tester - and definitely not one to miss.

Hesketh Golf Club

The oldest golf club in Southport, established in 1885, Hesketh Golf Course currently hosts regional qualifying for the Open Championship. 

The course, situated at the northern end of the Merseyside sand dune system, presents a challenge to golfers of all abilities. Whilst predominantly a links course, changes over recent years have led to the course now having a slightly more diverse landscape for seaside golf.

The holes surrounding Hesketh's imposing clubhouse are the core of the original course. They include the Par 3 16th, described by Henry Cotton – a regular visitor – as the best short hole in Lancashire.

Prices quoted are based on twin room sharing. For those who would like extra space, double rooms are available for sole use with a supplement of £50 per night

'From' prices are based on arrivals during April 2024. Summer dates are also available but come with an additional supplement

Transfers from the airport on the golf courses are not included but are available at additional cost

The dinner menu each evening will change to ensure a wide choice and variety

Tee times and availability at our partner golf courses will be discussed at the quotation stage
