Minster Lovell Circular Walk - when staying at The Bear Hotel

A scenic 25-minute drive out from The Bear exists the charming English town of Minster Lovell.

The area's circular walk is simply stunning during the autumn months, with orange and red coloured leaves on the trees creating a vibrant backdrop to dramatic ruins and tranquil woodland walkways. 

Begin your 3.6 mile journey from the village with its smattering of traditional cottages and pubs, before winding past River Windrush and back round.

Strathaven Waterfall Loop - when staying at Crutherland House Hotel & Spa

Drive out some 15-minutes from our hotel south of Glasgow, with Crutherland House perfectly positioned for combining the cultural delights of the city with walks showcasing natural spectacles. 

The aptly named Spectacle E'e Falls can be witnessed on the Strathaven Waterfall Loop, with the 3.5 mile walk starting in Strathaven itself before winding out to the waterfall - guaranteed to provide plenty of picture-perfect moments before you return back.

Loch Ard & Lochan Spling Path - when staying at Forest Hills Hotel & Resort

You won't have to travel far to take part in our recommended walk in Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park, with the glistening waters of Loch Ard reachable just a short walk from hotel reception. 

The pleasant path down to the smaller Lochan Spling is well sign posted with regular green posts along the stretch, while you'll also encouter several intriguing sculptures along the tree-lined route which expertly captures the essence of autumn.

Especially appealing if you want to make a full day of it, this five mile hike is a great workout that's rewarded with sublime views of the countless fells in the area. You may also get the chance to meet one of the plentiful ponies that roam along the route.
