Bath Young Musician Of The Year
Bath Young Musician of the Year You saw them here first! Head to the beautiful Georgian Pump Rooms in the centre of Bath for a glimpse of the future of classical music. Five young musicians bring us exceptional performances on horn, piano, bassoon, saxophone and harp. Competitors must be under the age of 21 and live within a 15-mile radius, so this is a chance to join a much-loved Bath event.
Sometimes In Bath - Meet The Author
Staff pick of the month from Rachel Hannah, our Spa Manager
Held right here at the hotel on October 28th, we are delighted to present an evening with Charles Nevin, author of Sometimes in Bath. The book takes you on a magical tour through our wonderful city, with many surprises in store. The event is free, and guests will receive a glass of fizz and canapes on arrival. The author will then read from his book and will be available for signings and conversation after the event. Ask us for more details at reception.
Holburne Museum - Matisse, Master Of The Line
The Holburne Museum is just across the road from Bath Spa Hotel, a Georgian building set in parkland with a fab café. Their current exhibition offers an insight into Henri Matisse, one of the undisputed masters of 20th century art. This exhibition of Matisse’s delicate line drawings are an intense immersion into the works of one of the greatest draughtsman of all time. Not to be missed!
A Halloween Tale At Cheddar Gorge
Bath’s brilliant Natural Theatre Company perform at the Cheddar Gorge & Caves There’s some strange happenings in the caves over the October half term. Be prepared to unravel the secrets of some strange happenings as you delve down into Gough's Cave. Dracula, Frankenstein’s Monster and Bill Sikes are all hiding within the chambers and they may have some answers that will help you crack the case.
Bath Museums Week
This is a great way to really get under the skin of Bath and what it has to offer. Alongside the usual attractions like the Roman Baths and No1 Royal Crescent, discover hidden gems like the Museum of East Asian Art and the Jewish Burial Ground. Throughout the nine days, the events and activities share a plethora of remarkable stories with visitors.
