February in Bath isn’t just about Valentine’s Day, although romantic couples will find plenty of scenic routes to walk hand in hand.

This month, there’s something for everyone, from music and literary fans to young families. Our advice is to ignore the weather, get your walking shoes on and to lose yourself exploring!

Aqua Sana at Thermae Bath Spa: February 6th

Thousands of people bathe at The Thermae Bath Spa, Britain’s only natural thermal spa, each year – and for just one day, visitors have an opportunity to try something a little different. This fitness session, which takes place in the beautiful rooftop pool, will combine classic yoga postures, Tai Chi and strengthening moves to stretch and tone your body. It’s free for early birds, who can continue using the facilities afterwards.

A talk with John Bercow: February 11th

The former speaker of the House of Commons is planning a handful of public appearances in order to publicise his memoirs. Organised by Topping & Company, as a member of the audience, you’ll have the chance to meet John who will be signing his new book. He’ll be sharing his thoughts on leading figures, from Tony Blair to David Cameron, Theresa May and Boris Johnson during this relaxed, informative and insightful session.

Bath Bachfest: 20th – 22nd February

This year’s 9th Bachfest, produced by the Bath MozartFest team, will celebrate JS Bach and his 18th century contemporaries. Held across the city, the programme includes many well-known international groups and soloists who are regular visitors to the festival. The final finale will be a concert with music from the world-famous Academy of Ancient Music and a Bachfest supper at Woods Restaurant.

Behind the scenes at No. 1 Royal Crescent: Monday to Friday in February

Learn what life would have been like for Bath residents between 1776-1796 – from fashionable families, as well as the house maids who looked after their everyday needs. Tours will run every 45 minutes and last for an hour. The museum is family friendly, with Georgian themed games and try-on costumes in the servants’ hall.

Six, The Musical: 18th – 23rd February

The cast from this London smash hit are visiting Bath’s Theatre Royal. Based on Henry VIII’s six wives, this high powered, very British musical has already received plenty of praise. So, sit back and watch each Tudor queen take to the mic to share their story in an entertaining, uplifting and enthusiastic historical re-telling.
