My true love gave to me… Christmas at the Bath Spa Hotel
Whether it’s a pre-Christmas gathering with friends, quality time with family, or a relaxing spa day just for you, the festive season is all about indulgent times with loved ones. Bath Spa Hotel is all decked out and ready to welcome you with open fires, as well as delicious food in our magnificent Georgian dining room or cosy Drawing Room. Set in extensive grounds with plenty of parking, yet close to the centre, it’s the perfect place to celebrate in style.
Throughout December, we’re serving our special afternoon tea. Cosy up in the Drawing Room and enjoy a selection of festive finger sandwiches, savoury bakes and fluffy scones, rounded off with our pastry chef’s unique take on Christmas patisseries, designed to delight the eye as well as your taste buds. Choose from a fragrant tea or rich coffee to complete your experience, served to you in gleaming silver and delicate china. There’s no better way to while away a crisp winter’s afternoon.
Prices from £27 per person, served between 13.30 - 4.00pm.
Forget the food shopping, the turkey stored in the garage, a Christmas spent cleaning and cooking. Instead, let us take the strain. All you need to do is pack! Motor up the sweeping driveway towards our beautifully lit Georgian hotel on Christmas Eve, settle into your room, then join us for mulled wine in the Drawing Room. Later, when you’re ready, champagne and canapés are served before your candlelit dinner. We’ve thought of everything to make your stay special – we’ll even have mince pies and hot chocolate waiting for you if you attend midnight mass in Bath Abbey. On Christmas day, a full English breakfast starts your day, and at lunchtime a five-course Christmas feast is served in elegant surroundings. A light evening buffet is available in the evening before you retire to your fluffy pillows and fresh sheets.
Boxing day is another wonderful day, beginning with a full English breakfast. There’s plenty of time for you to indulge in our swimming pool and spa. In the evening, relax over a three-course dinner rounded off with coffee, tea and mince pies.
On the Friday, wake up to another delicious breakfast, say your farewells and return home relaxed and refreshed.
All that partying and socialising can be exhausting! Why not come and spend a day in our spa, it’s a lovely antidote to all those celebrations. Bring a friend, slip into your fluffy robe and book a treatment, steam away all those toxins and swim off a mince pie or two. If you’d like to stay awhile, we do spa breaks, too – ideal for combining a bit of Christmas shopping and a lot of relaxing.
The party season isn’t quite over yet. What better way to mark the arrival of 2020 than with an overnight break? Book into one of our elegant hotel rooms to prepare at your leisure for the finest five-course black-tie ball in town. Tickets are also available separately for our Gala Dinner, which includes arrival champagne and canapes. Guests have a real treat in store, with a menu including sirloin of Scottish beef, parsnip, pickled beetroot and red onion tatin, topped off with a chocolate pave for dessert. There’s a live band and dancing until 1am, so there’s no need to look any further for the perfect way to celebrate.
