COVID-19 Update: Macdonald Hotels & Resorts
We’re delighted that we’ve been able to welcome many of you back to our hotels and resorts across the UK in recent weeks.
Whether you’ve visited us for the very first time or have enjoyed staying in your favourite locations once again, we hope you will continue to choose Macdonald Hotels as your luxury hotel destination of choice when looking to explore or unwind.
With social distancing restrictions and rules around mask wearing either lifting or easing across the UK, we wanted to update you on what to expect when visiting our hotels from 19th July.
We will continue to review our hotel and resort policies regularly to make sure we’re consistent with the latest local guidance.
Macdonald Hotels & Resorts in England
All our hotels and resorts in England have updated guidance around face coverings, which are now optional for any stays inclusive of 19th July and beyond. Legalised social distancing rules have now ended.
However, we encourage guests to continue wearing masks in enclosed spaces around our hotels and resorts. You will notice that our staff will continue to wear masks or other PPE when in close proximity to customers for your safety and theirs.
This allows for consideration of others and protection of those who may still be particularly vulnerable to the virus.
Macdonald Hotels & Resorts in Scotland
Face coverings and social distancing guidelines are still in place for our hotels and resorts in Scotland. The Scottish Government has provisionally announced a date of 9th August for removal of restrictions.
We will continue to monitor this and make any changes once these are announced by relevant authorities.
Macdonald Hotels & Resorts in Wales
Face coverings and social distancing guidelines are still in place for our hotels and resorts in Wales.
Please make sure to check the guidance or regulations at your destination before travelling in England, Scotland and Wales.
