The secret to any great dining experience lies in the perfect blend of fantastic food, beautiful surroundings, and superb service. Our valued chefs, kitchen, waiting, and bar staff have together earned a variety of AA Rosettes and awards for the consistently high standards they achieve every day.
Catering to a wide range of tastes and ages throughout the seasons, our tailored menus showcase timeless favourites alongside contemporary flavours from around the world, perfectly paired with refreshing beers, wines, spirits, and soft drinks, whether enjoyed by the fire or out in the sunshine on our terraces.

Much of our bar and restaurant offering includes the flexibility to dine either indoors or outside in our terrace spaces, so that you can really make the most of the sunshine with friends and family in the summer, or get cosy by the fireplace during autumn and winter.
Order a light snack, drink or dessert near the water on The Lawn at The Compleat Angler, wish to order a selection of fine tipples after a day at the races in our Royal Enclosure at The Berystede, or admire the the Trossachs from Forest Hills' Garden Restaurant - we have the perfect spot for you to dine at any time of year.

Taking inspiration from these natural surroundings are restaurants including SALT restaurant at Portal Golf & Spa Resort in leafy Cheshire, inspired by the legacy of salt mining in the region.
Savour the Finest Scottish Steaks
True to our Scottish heritage, the beef we serve comes from fully accredited Scottish farms and is supplied to us by Creative Food Scotland (formerly Scotbeef), who work with many of the highest quality retailers in the country and have over a century of trusted experience.
The beef found in your succulent dishes will have been traditionally aged for a minimum of 21 days on the bone, and also hand cut by highly skilled butchers using time-honoured techniques, delivering the perfect Scottish Steakhouse experience.

Inspired by twice Michelin-starred chef Atul Kochhar and now featuring across many of our restaurant menus after success with Sindhu at The Compleat Angler, tantalise your tastebuds with the soulful flavours of Southern India.
