In response to customer enquiries and after the Scottish Government's circuit break’ announcement of 7th October, we’re pleased to confirm the following:
From 9th October in Scotland, hotel bars and restaurants can operate between 6am and 6pm for resident for the service of food and all drinks indoors (this includes alcoholic drinks).
After 6pm and until 10pm each evening, only residents can be served food and non-alcoholic drinks indoors. Outdoor service of alcohol, where applicable, is permitted for our residents until 10pm. Room service will still be offered, including the purchase of alcohol products until 10pm. The ‘rule of six’ from a maximum of 2 households still applies in our bars, lounges and restaurants across the whole country. These new regulations apply at the following hotels:
Macdonald Aviemore Resort
Macdonald Cardrona Hotel
Drumossie Hotel, Inverness
Pittodrie House, Inverurie
Norwood House, Aberdeen
In those five health board areas announced with more strict measures (Ayrshire & Arran, Forth Valley, Greater Glasgow & Clyde, Lanarkshire and Lothian), from 9th October, our hotel bars and restaurants will serve food and non-alcoholic drinks only indoors up to 6pm. Outdoor service of alcohol is only permitted for residents only up to 10pm, where applicable. Room service, including the sale of alcohol is still permitted until 10pm. The Scottish Government will review this advice on Monday 26th October and we will update when we receive communication from them. These regulations apply at the following hotels:
