Retaining a refined ambience from its history hosting heads of state, this beautiful Victorian building offers unbeatable character and charm - making it the perfect place for a whole range of events.

Host AGMs, conferences or gala dinners in the splendour of our magnificent Horton Suite, which has its own dedicated bar and kitchen as well is its own private entrance. For other uses such as graduation events, christening parties and family celebrations we offer a choice of elegant function rooms, retaining period features and bright with natural light.

Horton Suite

Our Horton suite is one of the city's largest conference rooms, catering for up to 500 delegates plus the option for splitting into 3 separate event spaces.

Drummond Room

With an abundance of daylight, the Drummond Room provides a splendid setting for boardroom events and seminars.

Diamond Room

The Diamond Room provides the ideal meeting venue in the centre of Birmingham, catering for up to 50 guests with 5 windows providing lots of natural light.

Fraser Room

The Fraser Room provides an ideal boardroom setting. Seat up to 12 guests in eight-hour leather chairs around a superb boardroom table.

Russell Room

Our Russell Room offers the ideal boardroom setting with full-length windows overlooking New Street, and seats up to 12 guests around an elegant boardroom table.

Balmoral Room

Our Balmoral Room offers a superb boardroom setting with full-length windows overlooking New Street. This room seats 12 around an elegant oval table.

Emerald Room

Our Emerald Room seats 16 guests around the boardroom table, or up to 25 guests in theatre-style, with clean decor and natural light.

Topaz Room

Our Topaz room can host 25 theatre-style or 16 for boardroom meetings and is equipped with all the latest technology for business meetings.

Sapphire Room

Our Sapphire Room provides the ideal meeting venue, offering lots of natural light with space for 16 guests around the boardroom table or 25 theatre-style.

Opal Room

The Opal Room completes the range of jewel-inspired event spaces, with boardroom capacity for up to 20 or host up to 18 guests for a dinner.

Wallace Room

The second-floor Wallace Room is accessible by lift and enjoys large windows. An excellent boardroom venue for up to 14.

Doyle Room

The Doyle Room has boardroom space for 14 people and up to 20 theatre-style, with the option to link the adjoining Wallace for a superb break-out area.

Dickens Room

The Dickens Room provides boardroom space for up to 15 people and offers the option to link with our similar Verne Room for enhanced meeting options

Verne Room

The Verne Room provides boardroom space for 12 guests or up to 15 theatre-style, offering plenty of natural light and views over New Street.

Midland Suite

Accommodate up to 50 delegates theatre style, the Midland Suite is fully accessible to guests by lift and naturally-lit by large windows surrounding the room.
