Highland Wildlife Park
Visit one of Aviemore's top local attractions, with a visit to the polar bears or tiger cubs. You'll also find snow leopards and amur tigers together with their little cubs. Open year round. Pre-booking recommended.
Aviemore Ice Rink
Visit Aviemore's brand new ice rink located in the grounds of Macdonald Aviemore Resort. Have a go or take a lesson. You're under cover so it's a great activity no matter what the weather. Pre-booking advised. Open until Easter 2022.
Strathspey Steam Railway
Take a trip on this heritage steam train from Aviemore train station passing through stunning winter landscapes in the Cairngorms. Re-opening for the February school holidays.
Landmark Forest Adventure Park
Walk through a tropical butterfly house, meet lifesize dinosaurs and visit the indoor bamzoozeleum. There's lots more together with an indoor restaurant and gift shop.
Visit Loch Morlich
Visit nearby Loch Morlich for a stunning photo where snowcapped mountains reflect in the calming, still waters of the loch. Take a beautiful walk around the loch side.
Cairngorm Reindeer Centre
Visit Britain's only free roaming reindeer herd and get up close to these beautiful creatures. Re-opening mid-February 2022.
Snowsports in Aviemore
Enjoy skiing or snowboarding at the nearby Cairngorm Mountain, Scotland's favourite mountain destination. You can also book lessons and hire equipment easily.
Aviemore Zip Park
Fly through ancient forests on a zip line capturing a bird's eye view below you. It's a great activity for children and adults.
Aviemore Escape Rooms
One of Aviemore's newest attractions is worth visiting and perfect for a rainy day. You'll have 60 minutes to puzzle yourselves to the hidden treasure in the mountain bothy. Or challenge another team to be the first team to enter space in a Scottish spacecraft.

Visit our two-storey department store in the resort for some luxury shopping. We've got lots of big brands for all the family and home and lots of great gift ideas. You'll also find a great selection of winter sports clothing shops and unique independent shops in the high street too. As a resort guest you'll also receive a discount in our department store.
Toddler Breaks
If you've got little ones we've got the perfect short break for you. Let the kids have a ball in the toddler pool, 4-storey soft play centre, party at the kids disco and visit a top local attraction. All included in our toddler breaks.
