Highland Wildlife Park
Visit one of Aviemore's top local attractions, and visit the polar bears including the new cub. You'll also find snow leopards and amur tigers and lots more. Open year round and a great day out. Pre-booking essential.
Aviemore Ice Rink
Visit Aviemore's new ice rink located in the grounds of Macdonald Aviemore Resort. Have a go or take a lesson. You're under cover so it's a great activity no matter what the weather. Running until May 2022. Pre-booking advised.
Strathspey Steam Railway
Take a trip on this heritage steam train from Aviemore train station passing through beautiful mountain vistas in the Cairngorms. You will depart from the main train station just opposite the resort.
Landmark Forest Adventure Park
Walk through a tropical butterfly house, meet lifesize dinosaurs, scream down the waterslides and visit the indoor bamzoozeleum. There's lots more together with a restaurant, cafe and gift shop. Pre-booking essential.
Craigellachie Nature Reserve
Walk directly from our resort grounds to the Craigellachie Nature Reserve. You'll find a choice of walks for all abilities and outstanding views of the Cairngorms. This is a great free activity for all ages.
Forest Cycle Paths
Dust off your bikes (or hire them here) and enjoy a relaxing cycle ride through ancient pine forests that take you to beautiful lochs perfect for a picnic.
Aviemore Watersports
You'll find a wide range of gentle or exhilirating watersports here in Aviemore. Choose from gentle canoeing on Loch Morlich, having a go at paddle boarding or try river tubing down the River Spey!
Aviemore Zip Trek Park
Fly through ancient forests on a zip line capturing a bird's eye view below you. It's a great activity for children and adults alike. Choose from a classic zip trek or a self-guided zip adventure.
Aviemore Escape Rooms
One of Aviemore's newest attractions is worth visiting and perfect for a rainy day. You'll have 60 minutes to puzzle yourselves to the hidden treasure in the mountain bothy. Or challenge another team to be the first team to enter space in a Scottish spacecraft.
