St. Martin's church, Bladon is the resting place of Winston Churchill (prime minister of the United Kingdom from 1940 to 1945 and again from 1951 to 1955). He was buried in St. Martin's parish churchyard after his death in 1965; his wife Clementine was buried alongside him following her own death 12 years later. A short drive from the hotel or a pleasant half hour walk.
