This is the largest open arts festival in the world, and the most original. For three weeks in August, thousands of performers take to a multitude of stages all over Edinburgh to present shows for every taste. You can see big names from the world of entertainment as well as unknown artists looking to build their careers. The festival caters for everyone and includes theatre, comedy, dance, physical theatre, musicals, operas, music, exhibitions and events. Theres a real buzz on the city streets from early to the wee wee hours, and lots of free shows on offer, not to mention discounted tickets and 2 for 1 ticket deals.
