
Wedding Etiquette
To assist you prepare for your special day, we have prepared a suggested wedding etiquette.
On arrival during photographs, aperitifs can be offered to your guests.
The Receiving Line
This is a formal greeting of your guests when you arrive at the Hotel, or as the party enters the dining room for the wedding breakfast.

Cutting the Cake
The Toastmaster (or Best Man) announces the cutting of the cake. The first slice is then cut by the Bride & Groom, and during the speeches the cake is sliced for your guests.
Top Table Seating Plan
When preparing your seating plan, the top table should be as follows:

Toasts & Speeches
These follow the cutting of the cake, and are made in the following order.
- A Toast to the Bride & Groom. This is normally done by a dose friend or the father of the bride.
- A Toast to the Bridesmaid(s). This is proposed by the Bridegroom, following his response to the first toast.
- The Best Man would then respond to the Bridegroom's speech on behalf of the bridesmaid(s), he also reads all the telegrams to the guests.
