Relaxation at Swan Hotel, Grasmere

The Swan Hotel provides some of the most walker-friendly accommodation in the Lake District. As well as being ideally placed, near to both Seat Sandal and Helm Crag, we offer a popular Drying Room for muddy boots and wet coats and the Walker's Bar, where grubby dogs and their owners are free to relax. For a more sedate walking experience, the meadows that surround the hotel are havens for local wildlife and plants.

Golf enthusiasts are well catered for in the Lake District and there are several excellent courses within driving distance of the Swan Hotel. We can arrange golf for you and your party at nearby Windermere or Keswick golf clubs, Grange over Sands or Kendal. Beckside and Burneside also have pay and play 9 holes. Make an enquiry

Please note that due to our exclusive membership and so all our guests may enjoy the facilities, children up to 16yrs can only use the pool between 12 and 2pm daily. This policy is strictly adhered to.

  To avoid a cancellation charge we require 24 hours' notice when cancelling any treatments and 48 hours' notice for Spa Days.
