THE GOLF COURSES
A very important part of such a holiday is the availability of suitable golf courses and Calanova, Santana Golf & Country Club and Santa Clara Golf and Country Club fit that bill to a tee. Calanova, where we play a Texas Scramble on the first day, has already gained a reputation for the warmth of welcome. Dramatic drives, huge greens and breathtaking scenery will create lasting memories of a course where, despite many changes in elevation, the playing areas are generally flat.
The first round of 'Golfer of the Week' singles will now be played at the delightful Santa Clara Golf & Country Club. This Enrique Canales design is a superbly maintained golf course, with a good mix of long and short holes, and the clubhouse offers service and facilties to match.
The favourite course of our Golfseekers is Santana Golf & Country Club where we play both the better-ball and the final round of the singles. Originally an avocado farm, the flat golf course lies between two rivers, with a creek running through, and features expansive fairways and contoured greens.

Christmas week can be as busy or as relaxing as you wish with the only organised golf being a social game with Michael Wilson at Santa Clara Golf & Country Club on Christmas morning. We shall be back to Dona Lola in time to enjoy the Christmas Lunch which is included in your holiday. Additional golf may, of course, be arranged at the Macdonald Golf concessionary green fee rates.
New Year week will feature the normal Golfseekers itinerary, with two rounds at Santana and one round at Santa Clara Golf & Country Club and Calanova. Included in the holiday is the New Year's Eve Gala seven course dinner in the Vista Mar restaurant with wine and champagne. "Noche Vieja" is an exciting festive occasion in Spain and is celebrated in some style at the Dona Lola Club.
