Wedding Check List

12 Months

• Book The Macdonald Randolph as your reception location
• Arrange wedding clergyman/registrar
• Discuss with Wedding Co-ordinator optional evening entertainment and menus
• Book honeymoon – make arrangement for the first night
• Compile guest list with both families
• Choose bridesmaid, best man, ushers and page boys
• Shop for dresses and accessories
• Decide on men’s outfits and arrange hire (if necessary)
• Organise going away outfit

6 Months

• Book a photographer/video company
• Book transport or liase with friends/family
• Order wedding cake
• Make wedding gift list

4 Months

• Visit clergyman again (banners, music flowers, confetti, fees, bell ringing etc)
• Confirm food and reception details
• Order stationary (invitations, service sheets, matches etc)
• Choose wedding rings
• Organise floral arrangements for the church, reception, the bride and bridesmaids bouquet and mothers flowers

3 Months

• Buy gifts for bridesmaids, best man and page boy
• Finalise honeymoon/wedding night details, (contact the Sales Office to upgrade to a feature room)

2 Months

• Post invitations
• Record acceptances and refusals
• Update the Randolph on current numbers
• Send out gift list
• Reply immediately for presents received

1 Month

• Arrange an appointment with the Macdonald Randolph to discuss estimated numbers and seating plan
• Organise dress and suit fittings
• Visit hairdresser
• Practice wedding make up
• Prepare newspaper announcement

1 Week

• Full rehearsal of wedding (time journey to church)
• Finalise honeymoon arrangements (luggage to hotel, travellers cheques etc.)
• Arrange final payment at the hotel
• Make final checks – cake, flowers, photographer, transport etc.
• Enjoy your hen/stag night – at least a couple of days before the wedding!
