COOKERY MASTERCLASS FOR PATTERDALE PUPILS
John Badley, head chef at Macdonald Leeming House will be kicking off the first of six healthy eating after-school classes at Patterdale C of E Primary school on Thursday 24 April.
Ten children aged between 6-11yrs will be taking part in the 45 minute workshops which will run every week for the next six weeks and aim to teach children how to cook with fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
Liz Stewart, head teacher at Patterdale C of E Primary said, “We’re thrilled to have John back to Patterdale following his successful one-off worshop last year.
The children are really looking forward to it which is very encouraging.”
Macdonald Leeming House’s head chef, John Badley said: “The classes are a fantastic way to introduce children to raw ingredients and the basics of home cooking.
“I hope that by inspiring children we can get them excited about healthy food and who knows – we may even find budding chefs of the future.”
