TOP BUSINESS TO BE RECOGNISED AT MACDONALD PORTAL

Around 150 people are expected to attend a leading business organisation’s awards ceremony at a top Cheshire hotel.

The Macdonald Portal Hotel, Golf and Spa in Cobblers Cross Lane, Tarporley, is hosting the eighth Vale Royal Mayor’s Charity Business Dinner and Small Business Awards on Saturday, March 1.

The Mayor of Vale Royal, Cllr Doug Shingler, will present the awards which have been supported by Business After Hours – a networking service for businesses in Cheshire and North Wales.

Paula Bradley, of organisers Conference & Events Ltd, said the annual awards dinner was a great way to promote the fantastic work carried out by small companies in the region.

The categories are chosen by companies who want to nominate another small business for an award and the team at Business After Hours then meet to discuss the winners, she said.

Business After Hours has run this for the last eight years and since it has grown in popularity over the years we now organise the event.

The evening will start with a champagne reception before we enjoy a three-course dinner and live entertainment from Bare Faced Cheek who will be playing music from the last few decades.

We will also be raising funds for the Mayor of Vale’s two chosen charities – The Joshua Tree and Vale Royal Disability Services – during the night.

It promises to be a great evening of networking and fun as well as allowing small companies to receive recognition for the sterling work that they do in the region.

Christine Jones, director of sales at the Macdonald Portal Hotel, Golf and Spa, said it was the first time the hotel had hosted these awards.

The Castle Suite is a perfect location for awards evenings and I am sure we will play our part in helping Business after Hours to have a memorable evening, she said.

Networking clubs play an important part in giving small businesses the opportunity to meet potential clients and develop their company and winning an award is another positive way of increasing awareness of their services or products.
