New-look luxury bedrooms and refurbishment plans for Macdonald Compleat Angler

16 May 2006

The famous Macdonald Compleat Angler hotel, which is in an idyllic location on the banks of the river Thames in Marlow, has had some of its bedrooms refurbished to reflect their individual character. This is part of the first phase of a £1m extensive development programme at the hotel, which will eventually include a new-look for all 64 bedrooms.

This programme is due to be completed by the end of January 2007 when all bedrooms will have wireless broadband connections, safe lap-top boxes and plasma screen TVs introduced to meet the demands of today's travellers.

Part of the planned refurbishment is for the hotel's 3 AA rosette award-winning Riverside Restaurant, which specialises in seasonal menus, fine wines and a superb level of service. This should be complete by Autumn 2006.

Helen Rathbone from the Macdonald Compleat Angler, comments," Our newly refurbished bedrooms fit perfectly with the overall feel of the hotel, which is traditional and tranquil but discreetly contemporary. We are excited about our re-development programme and are sure that this will ensure the future enjoyment of local Marlow residents, many of whom frequent the hotel on a regular basis."
