New Products Launch for the biggest manufacturer of white goods in the UK

A showcase event in Cheshire to launch new products for the biggest manufacturer of white goods in the UK has been hailed a success.

Indesit Company UK holds a major launch event each year but decided this year to hold two, one in the north and one in the south.

The Macdonald Portal Hotel, Golf and Spa in Cobblers Cross Lane, Tarporley, was booked for the northern event for the first time.

Three marquees were constructed to exhibit its new products and visual displays while celebrity chef Tony Tobin gave a cookery demonstration using a Cannon Range cooker.

Customers were also invited to play golf on the venue's two courses and enjoy beauty treatments in the luxury leisure club and spa. A gala dinner was held each evening to complete the day for Indesit Company's customers.

Events manager Jayson Weston said nearly 500 people had attended over the three days to see the latest Hotpoint, Indesit and Cannon appliances.

"Every year Indesit Company UK holds a prestigious launch event in the UK to present our new products to our independent customers," he said.

"We constructed the Indesit Company village at Portal with hard-sided marquees to create theatres and visual displays of all our products and brands.

"There was a two-hour walk-through for our customers to enjoy and the reaction was very, very good and they were very enthusiastic about the new aesthetics and features.

"We have brought out new cycles of washing machines such as our new eco cycles which doesn't use any heat at all but still achieves the same cleanliness as a 30c cycle.

"The feed-back from Portal has been extremely positive because we have never had such great service. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and when we had a request it was carried out immediately because they seemed to genuinely want everything to run smoothly."

Christine Jones, director of sales at the Macdonald Portal Hotel, Golf and Spa, said the venue's combined facilities were a real selling point to multi-national companies.

"The completion of our £11.8 million refurbishment and extension means that we can now pitch for this type of business," she said.

"The fact that we have large grounds to be able to construct a marquee is a big plus point as well as our golf courses, spa, bedrooms and conference suites to hold gala dinners.

"We are delighted to have received such positive comments and we hope we see Indesit Company UK again next year!"
