MACDONALD FOREST HILLS LOOKS TO THE FUTURE WITH NEW SPA CONCEPT

The Macdonald Forest Hills Hotel & Resort is nearing the final stages of its £2 million pound spa and health club development programme, which is scheduled to launch on 25 July 2008, creating 15 new jobs for the local area.

The existing Vital health club has been completely refurbished to create a new luxurious health club and spa, representing the largest investment the hotel has made to date. The development also emphasises Macdonald Hotels & Resorts commitment to developing its strong portfolio of four and five star hotels by creating luxurious leisure facilities which enhance guest experience.

The new spa will be the most luxurious and advanced in The Trossachs. The facilities will include a thermal suite, experience shower, rock sauna and a spa pool. In addition there will be a relaxation room, an 18m swimming pool and a state-of-the-art techno gym.

For those who love pampering, the spa will be equipped with four treatment rooms and a varied treatment list incorporating the finest in Decleor and Jessica ranges.

The health club and spa is creating a membership scheme and the sales team is already taking enquiries from potential members. The hotel is anticipating the new spa will prove extremely popular with guests from the immediate local areas as well as from further catchments areas such as Bearsden, Drymen and Kilearn.

38 of the 50 hotel bedrooms have been re-furbished with work on the remaining 12 in the original wing of the hotel due to commence soon.
