Hill Valley Wedding Fair

Brides-to-be will be given a glimpse of their dream day in a wedding fair at a leading luxury hotel in Shropshire.

The Macdonald Hill Valley Hotel, Golf and Spa in Tarporley Road, Whitchurch, is hosting its popular wedding fair between 11.30am and 3.30pm on Sunday, September 28.

Manor Brides from Higher Heath, Whitchurch, will be showcasing the current trends in bridal gowns as well as accessories in a fashion show in the Shropshire Suite.

Bridegrooms are not forgotten as men's outfitters will be among the exhibitors along with photographers, florists, venue dressers, wedding cars and entertainment companies.

Champagne and canapés will be served on arrival and beauty therapists from the spa will be treating guests to mini-facials and mini-manicures.

Marc van de Wynckele, group wine development manager at Macdonald Hotels & Resorts, will give a wine tasting demonstration and the hotel's chefs will be inviting visitors to sample bite-sized portions available at wedding breakfasts and receptions.

Caroline Hurcomb, conference and events co-ordinator at the Macdonald Hill Valley Hotel, Golf and Spa, said pianist David Baggeley and a string quartet would be providing the background music.

"Our wedding fairs are always popular with brides-to-be and their fiancées who have recently become engaged during their summer holidays," she said.

"We have organised for a wide range of local suppliers to be present to give everyone attending the opportunity to book their dream day without having to visit lots of different stores.

"We will also be holding a raffle in aid of the Shropshire branch of Macmillan Cancer Support which will include prizes ranging from a round of golf to an overnight stay at any Macdonald hotel in the UK.

"Our staff will be on hand to give expert advice and take guests on tours around the venue which as well as being ideal for weddings, is also great for hen and stag parties due to our luxury spa and golf courses."

Anyone who leaves a deposit on the day of the wedding fair will receive a complimentary top table for up to eight people.
