Wedding Fayre At The Hill Valley

Couples who became engaged over Christmas and the New Year are invited to a wedding fayre at a leading Shropshire hotel this month. The Macdonald Hill Valley Hotel, Golf and Spa is holding a wedding fayre between 11am and 4pm on Sunday, January 20. Two fashion shows will be held on a specially constructed catwalk in the Shropshire Suite of the hotel in Tarporley Road, Whitchurch, to promote 2008 fashions for brides, bridegrooms and bridesmaids. Beauty therapists from the hotel’s new £1.7 million health club and spa will be carrying out free mini makeovers and a hairdresser will be showing the latest styles.

There will also be wine and food tasting to give brides-to-be and their fiancées a chance to sample the choices available as well as talk to suppliers of wedding cars and flowers. Nicky Brundell, conference and events manager at the Macdonald Hill Valley Hotel, Golf and Country Club, said she hoped its second wedding fayre would be as popular as its inaugural event.

At our first wedding fayre in October seven couples booked their wedding with us on the day which was fantastic, she said. Everyone who has accepted a marriage proposal over Christmas and the New Year will be eager to start planning their big day as soon as possible. We have a great range of suites available for weddings of varying sizes and our team will be only too happy to take visitors on a tour of the hotel which will include the accommodation block where newly-married couples and their wedding guests can stay overnight. Our chefs will be on hand to chat about the menu and wine options and the fashion shows are certain to be well attended. The beauty makeovers will give brides-to-be a clear indication of the colours in vogue this year as well as the best colours to suit their skin tone. Since we have a luxury spa and two superb golf courses our venue is also a great location for stag and hen parties. We have dates available this year for any couples wanting a short engagement as well as dates for 2009. Any couples who pay a deposit for their wedding at the fayre on January 20 will receive the top table for up to eight people for free if their reception is for a minimum of 80 people.
