Great days out for families with Macdonald Hotels

July 10th 2006

Exclusive guest offers of up to 50 per cent off at over 300 major tourist attractions across the UK – plus kids go free this July!

Families planning a getaway in the UK this summer can save themselves sizeable amounts on admission to some of the country’s most famous tourist attractions. From sea-life centres, wildlife sanctuaries and zoos, museums, theme parks and heritage sites, there’s a wide range of activities available for every guest, irrespective of age. All guests need to do is pick up a Great Days Out voucher booklet on arrival, and they’ll have immediate access to offers at over 300 major tourist attractions across the UK via five regional booklets of vouchers.

Choose from well-known draws for kids - from the London Dungeon to Wookey Hole Caves, Loch Ness Visitor Centre to the Manchester United Museum, Cardiff Castle and the RSPB Nature Reserve, or head for something more unusual. This year’s programme includes gems such as the Weald and Downland Open Air Museum, one of the country’s leading museums of historic buildings and rural life set in the heart of the South Downs, near Chichester, the Teddy Bear Museum, Stratford-upon-Avon and the Museum of Scottish Lighthouses, Fraserburgh, Scotland, which includes a visit to the top of the Kinnaird Head Lighthouse. The programme has been designed so that each Macdonald Hotel has at least five attractions within a 40 minute drive.

What’s more, until 3 rd September, guests can take advantage of a special summer offer with three nights for the price of two at all Macdonald Hotels & Resorts with the added bonus of up to two children aged under 12 years staying free. This offer applies at all hotels – the only restriction is that children must be accompanied by two adults, share their room and are accommodated on a bed and breakfast basis only.
