MACDONALD MANCHESTER AWARDED FIRST AA ROSETTE

The Macdonald Manchester Hotel & Spa team are celebrating after being awarded their first AA Rosette for The Restaurant.

The award comes only six months after the hotel opened following a £50 million investment by Macdonald Hotels & Resorts in the city centre development.

The Restaurant is fast becoming a must visit destination in Manchester. Executive chef Stuart Duff and restaurant head chef Joe Horvath have developed a varied menu of traditional British dishes with a contemporary twist. The team uses fresh ingredients to create classic dishes such as Outdoor Reared Pork Fillet and Belly with Fondant Potato and Carrot Puree. As well as offering hearty dishes of the day such as Fisherman's Pie, Beer Bartered Fish and Chips Sausage and Mash.

With a team of 11 kitchen staff, The Restaurant prides itself on its excellent staff training. Stuart Duff commented: "The team are all passionate about creating and serving good honest food. The AA Rosette is a tremendous achievement for them, especially as many are just starting out in the restaurant business. We are now working to raise our standards even higher and striving towards a second and third rosette."
