ANGELIC VISITORS AT ANSTY HALL

Media notice: 11.30am, 4 April, Macdonald Ansty Hall, Main Road, Ansty Wolvey PS choir sing for their hero’s All Angels Picture and interview opportunities

The Macdonald Ansty Hall is preparing for a host of heavenly songstresses this Friday (4 April) with the arrival of the first female classical super-group, All Angels. Currently on a 13-date tour of the UK, All Angels will be performing at Coventry Cathedral in the evening however the four girls have agreed to take time out of their busy schedule to meet a group of children from Wolvey Primary School at Ansty Hall earlier in the day.

The school has close links with the hotel, as General Manager, Steven Quick revealed, “We are thrilled to welcome All Angels to Ansty Hall and even more delighted that they are taking time out of their schedule to catch up with the Wolvey Primary School choir – I am sure it will be inspirational for the children. We have developed a close relationship with the school over the last year and it is great to be able to provide them with exciting opportunities such as this.”

The teenagers – Melanie Nakhla, Charlotte Ritchie, Laura Wright and Daisy Chute - released their debut album, All Angels, in autumn 2007 which became the UK’s fastest-selling debut for a classical act earning them a coveted Platinum disc. They then performed at the Classical Brits, where the album was nominated for Album of the Year, and took part in the Festival of Remembrance in November at the Royal Albert Hall in front of the Queen and over 10 million TV viewers. They've also shared stages with Russell Watson and Katherine Jenkins, and have unleashed their collective lung-power in support of the England rugby team at several crucial international matches.

Macdonald Hotels & Resorts has provided support as a host hotel during the 2008 UK tour. Forthcoming dates include Coventry (4 April), Bury St Edmunds (5 April), Thaxted Festival (29 June), Brendwood Centre (6 July), Eisteddfod, Llangollen (22 July), Orwell Park (13th July), Broadlands (26 July) and Sandringham (9 August)
