School Fundraiser
A Cheshire school is holding a fundraising pamper evening at a leading Whitchurch hotel for its library refurbishment.
The PTA of Malpas Alport Endowed Primary School in Chester Road, Malpas, has organised the pamper night next Friday (April 11) at the Macdonald Hill Valley Hotel, Golf and Spa.
A wide range of treatments including files and polishes, Indian head massages, reflexology and facials will be given by beauty therapists from the hotel’s luxury Spa and local beauty therapists for £4 each at the hotel in Tarporley Road, Whitchurch.
Hairdressers from Whitchurch-based Headquarters will be demonstrating different hairstyles on people who attend the evening and carrying out blow drys.
There will also be stalls in the Shropshire Suite selling Virgin Vie beauty products, handmade jewellery, tiaras, handbags, fudge and children’s books as well a florist, life coach, pampered chef and hypnotherapist promoting their services.
Tickets priced at £7 are now available for the evening which takes place between 7pm and 10pm.
Cara Winter, a member of the PTA, said the money raised from the pamper night would go towards its on-going campaign to support the school’s library refurbishment.
The PTA at Malpas Alport Endowed Primary School is committed to raising money for on-going projects, she said.
We have given several thousand pounds to the new library but more is needed to continue improving its facilities.
We hope to sell 150 tickets and the evening is open to men as well as women – we have already had calls from a few men that are coming along.
There will be a glass of wine and snacks for everyone on arrival and we will also be giving away goody bags containing Decleor products.
There will also be a prize draw with some fantastic prizes from all the stall holders as well as the first prize of a six-month membership to the hotel’s Spa.
Iain Gray, general manager of the Macdonald Hill Valley Hotel, Golf and Spa, added: “It should be a really fun evening as well as helping to support a good local cause.
The PTA does an awful lot of good work for the school and we are only too pleased to play our part in helping them.
Anyone wanting to take advantage of the mini-treatments is advised to arrive early and tickets are available from Headquarters in London Street, Whitchurch, or by contacting PTA members Cara Winter on 01948 820129, Yvonne Morgan on 01948 820734 and Penny Davies on 07759 553259.
