    Set yourself up for some sightseeing near Aberdeen with one of Macdonald Hotels' world-renowned full Scottish breakfasts. Our traditional Stornoway black pudding, free range eggs and smoky Loch Fyne kippers are cooked to perfection. Alternatively, try the light fresh fruit buffet, warm baked bread with sweet comb honey, crunchy cereals and freshly squeezed juice.

    At night, try locally-bred roast leg of Aberdeenshire lamb with winter greens from our Victorian walled garden. Then finish with a tulle basket of Arran ice cream and Drambuie fruits. The Orangery's vaulted glass roof dances with light at night and sparkles during the day. Perfect for banqueting and private dining, the Orangery is an impressive venue in which to celebrate special events. We specialise in hosting private functions in the Orangery with guests seated around our superb oval banqueting table. Our Sunday lunches are locally famous, offering families and friends a perfect Sunday roast in relaxing surroundings.

Squeeze yourself into the Snug Bar for a cosy and convivial drink during your stay. An extensive drinks menu and some quality bar-room banter help to while away many happy evenings in Aberdeenshire. Sample the malt whiskies on offer or settle into a seat by the real log fire. The bar lounge menu features a range of delicious, locally produced meals.

 

Outside the Snug sit two stone troughs whose former use is cloaked in mystery. Come up with your own theory over a few relaxing drinks.

For a little sophistication settle into a sofa in our lounge and sip cocktails as the light fades over Bennachie. The portraits of previous Pittodrie inhabitants gaze benignly down on you as you play board games or the lounge's piano. The drawing room is warm and inviting in the flickering firelight or imposingly stylish during the day. The perfect setting to sample a pre-dinner Kir Royale or Bellini or a fine malt such as Balvenie or Glenfiddich.
