Welcome to the beautiful four red star Macdonald Windsor Hotel
in the heart of The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.
Since the hotel opened it's doors in September 2010 I have had
some of my proudest moments as a General Manager; from receiving
our AA Rosette, to the Tourism South East Beautiful Awards, through
to our Business Green Silver Award.
I have been very fortunate to work with an amazing group of 100
people from 39 countries across the world; well over half of them
have been here from the start. The success of the hotel has
been at the forefront of everything they do. Our team are
forever looking for new and exciting challenges and we are all
currently working and developing our staff and wellbeing standards
to aspire to Investers in People GOLD. We are also awaiting
the results of The Green Catey award where we are rubbing shoulders
with the Savoy Hotel.
I started life training to be a chef at Hull College and spent
three years developing my skills as a pastry chef, following this I
worked across Europe and Australia as a chef of ski resorts and in
Summer hideaways before deciding to turn my talents to working
front of house. At home I love the countryside, my wellies,
my old dog George, who is 16 years young and spending time with my
husband Tom and our daughter Evie who is four.
At Macdonald Windsor Hotel we try to create something a little
bit more relaxed, somthing unique with the friendliness and
professionalism of well trained staff, yet with all the standards
of a Macdonald Hotel.
