Welcome to the beautiful four star Macdonald Forest Hills Hotel
& Spa in the heart of the Trossach's, which is often referred
to as the Gateway to the Highlands.
I took over the position of Resort General Manager in January
2013 having spent some 7 years at a sister hotel in Peebles.
I arrived amidst a major renovation of the hotel exterior.
The finished job is absolutely stunning and has been followed
by the addition of 17 stunning new bedrooms and a full
refurbishment of the lounge, cocktail bar, Garden restaurant and
I have been very fortunate to work with an amazing group of
people who have helped move the hotel to a new level. The
success of the hotel has been at the forefront of everything they
do. Our team is forever looking for new and exciting
challenges and we are all currently working towards attaining a
Centre of Excellence and AA red star status.
After graduating from Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, I
started my working life as a management trainee with the NHS and
then spent several years working in various hospitals in Edinburgh.
A chance conversation with a friend resulted in a career
change when I entered the world of hotels as an Executive
Housekeeper and then progressed to reception and then Operations
At home I love walking in the countryside with my husband Craig
and my terrier Tilly. I also enjoy music, singing and
