Thirty miles from central London, Camberley in Surrey is close
to one of the British military's most distinguished institutions:
the Royal Military Academy of Sandhurst. Since 1947, it's where
officers in the British Army have been trained to take on the
responsibilities of leading the soldiers in their command. There is
a trio of military-related museums in the area. The Royal Logistics
Corps Museum is one. Then, there's the Army Medical Services Museum
and that of Queen Alexandra's Royal Army Nursing Corps.
Away from the military theme, there's fun for the kids at
Chessington World of Adventures with its nine themed lands, a zoo
and Sealife Centre. All good enough to be voted 2010 Theme Park of
the Year.
More fun can be found at the Look Out Discovery Centre, a
hands-on science experience that makes learning fun. Adrenalin
junkies can get their thrills up high at the Go Ape aerial
adventure course.
