Macdonald Compleat Angler has
been awarded three prestigious AA Rosettes for the hotel's fine
dining Riverside Restaurant.
The four-red star hotel on the banks of the River Thames in
Marlow, Buckinghamshire, was presented with the accolade by BBC
journalist Fiona Bruce at The AA Hospitality Awards at the
Grosvenor House hotel, Park Lane, London.
Head Chef Michael Lloyd, 29, joined Macdonald's in 2014 and has
been responsible for the upgrade to three AA star status at the
Riverside Restaurant. He said: "I am so proud that diners can get a
true garden to table experience here at Riverside. It is exciting
to be able to cook with the very best products and to be part of a
hotel group who work hard with their suppliers to ensure that only
the best produce is delivered constantly to our kitchens.

Atul Kochhar.The latest venture from the Michelin-starred chef
opened its doors in November 2014 and now takes weekend bookings up
to three months in advance. Situated just 20 minutes from Heathrow
Airport and 5 minutes from Maidenhead, with fast train connections

The Riverside Restaurant has just enjoyed a £150k refurbishment
and offers fine dining in an idyllic location overlooking the
Thames. Diners can also enjoy its 120-seat outdoor terrace and
lawn, the restaurant is also used to serve the famous Macdonald
breakfast for over-night guests.
Michael Lloyd's previous roles include time spent alongside the
executive chef at Cannizaro House hotel in Wimbledon and as chef de
partie at the Vineyard at Stockcross and Heckfield Place in
Macdonald Hotels & Resorts is the UKs largest independent
hotel group and boasts almost 50 AA rosettes across its 48 hotels.
The group has always had a focus on food and recently appointed
Commercial Director Robert Cook has announced more than a dozen
