Macdonald Windsor Hotel, a charismatic four-red star hotel in the heart of historic Windsor, has scooped a prestigious award for guest satisfaction.

The hotel received the esteemed award for 'Best Overall Hotel in Britain' from CIE Tours International, a prominent bus tour operator that recognises venues and attractions that receive customer satisfaction ratings above 90%.

Judged by 14,000 of CIE Tours International visitors from North America, Macdonald Windsor Hotel was recognised for its commitment to quality and attention to detail in delivering the best guest experience.

Gill Jackson, Sales Director for Macdonald Hotels & Resorts said: "We're absolutely thrilled to receive the accolade - the guests at CIE Tours International voted for Macdonald Windsor Hotel based on the quality of our accommodation, our exceptional service, and our superb food and beverage offering, which is testament to the fact that the team work incredibly hard to deliver the best possible guest experience.

"I feel immensely proud of the people who work there because they all go the extra mile for every guest. Windsor is an iconic city rich in heritage and we are proud to provide guests with the best stay, not only in the city, but in the whole of Britain."

The award is based on ratings derived from CIE Tour International's client surveys, evaluated independently and externally. The results showed that Macdonald Windsor Hotel achieved an average client satisfaction rating of 95.9% throughout 2014.

The prestigious accolade was presented by the Chairman of Visit Scotland at a glittering Awards luncheon in Aberdeen on 23rd April.
