Macdonald Hotels & Resorts held its annual High Achievers Award Ceremony this week which saw its 'best in class' team members rewarded for their outstanding skill and dedication.

The Awards, hosted by the Group's Deputy Chief Executive, Ruaridh Macdonald were held at Macdonald Burlington Hotel and recognised those who have excelled in their duties over the last year, ensuring brand values live at the core of all day-to-day operations.

Each year the renowned hotel group nominates their best team members to find the highest achieving employee in a range of categories, including front office, restaurant and bar, conference and events and housekeeping.

High Achievers are recognised as those who have made a concerted effort to develop their skills and expertise as part of the group's dedication to delivering the highest quality experience for leisure and business guests.

This year's awards were extremely competitive with over 300 entrants and 140 exceptional candidates shortlisted.

Ruaridh Macdonald said: "We're incredibly proud of all people across the company at every level and I would like to congratulate the ten winners who were awarded the top prizes.  We're committed to investing in the training and development of our people and in return it is crucial to have the opportunity to acknowledge hard work, passion and a commitment to offering our guests a first class hospitality experience."

"It's important that our team feel they are part of our journey, and have a sense of responsibility, achievement and pride in all that they do."

The awards night continued the recent celebrations which saw Macdonald Hotels & Resorts named Most Improved Brand in the BDRC MeetingsMetrix Survey 2014.
