Matt Lloyd has been appointed as Head Executive Chef at Macdonald Manchester Hotel & Spa, bringing over 12 years' hotel experience to the role.

The announcement coincides with the re-launch of the hotel's Scottish Steak Club restaurant that is part of a £2 million programme of restaurant re-launches across 16 Macdonald Hotels.

Matt has previously worked across a number of high profile hotel kitchen operations, including, sister hotel and double AA rossete-awarded Macdonald Craxton Wood in Cheshire, proving he is capable of delivering outstanding cuisine. He is an expert in British cooking, consistently delivering new menus and presenting dishes in creative ways.

Matt plans to promote British food and produce vibrant, contemporary cuisine for guests to enjoy.

The Scottish Steak Club has an established reputation in the city for sourcing quality ingredients and offering simple, flavoursome dishes made with freshest produce and delivered by a great team.
