Macdonald Craxton Wood Hotel is investing over two million
pounds in a refurbishment that will see the tranquil country
house's Vital Health & Wellbeing Club given a full upgrade and
extension and 70 bedrooms get a facelift.
The spa renovations began at the hotel in early January and will
take around six months to complete, with anticipation that it will
open by the end of June 2014.
The four-star Macdonald Craxton Wood Hotel, part of AA Hotel
Group of the Year Macdonald Hotels, is set in the heart of the
Cheshire countryside and blends the best of British tradition with
21st century comfort and style.
The Vital Health & Wellbeing Club will have an 18 metre
refurbished swimming pool, a poolside sauna and steam room, 12 spa
treatment rooms plus full spa thermal suite. This includes an aroma
steam room, rock sauna, ice fountain, experience shower, two foot
spas, Wellness room and RASUL mud therapy. There are also dark and
light relaxation areas, a Zen garden, a Spa Café, a dedicated nail
and aroma bar area, and a state of the art gymnasium with a private
consultation area and a studio.

weddings up to 240 guests. This phase 2 investment follows the
completion of 10 new bedrooms at the end of last year.
