Macdonald Forest Hills Hotel & Resort has scooped the 'Resort of the Year' accolade at the prestigious Scottish Hotel Awards held earlier this week (27 April) in Edinburgh.

The stunning four-star resort, nestled within the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park in Stirlingshire and just 40 minutes north of Glasgow is part of Macdonald Hotels & Resorts, 2013-2014 AA Hotel Group of the Year.

The resort recently benefited from over £1.3 million investment to upgrade bedrooms, transform the award-winning restaurant and terrace, developments that will further its ambition to achieve four-red star status.

Affording guests stunning views over serene Loch Ard, the 55 bedroom hotel and 65 lodge resort recently completed the stylish transformation of 17 luxurious bedrooms. Investment has also been made in the spa, the AA rosette-awarded Garden Restaurant, the outside terrace, Lomond boardroom and Garden Suite while the informal dining space, Rafters Bar & Bistro has also been tastefully revamped.
