Independent jewellery valuer, historian and gemmologist, John Benjamin, will be the guest speaker at a Macmillan Cancer Support lunch at the riverside Macdonald Compleat Angler, Marlow on Tuesday, 5th November. John is well known for his appearances on the popular BBC television programme, Antiques Roadshow.

The illustrated talk,Romancing the Stone, will show the glamorous side of owning fine jewellery worn by such well known people as Marilyn Monroe and Jackie Onassis as well as some of the world's most famous diamonds.

If you would like the opportunity to have one or two items of jewellery valued by John Benjamin after his presentation please call 01628 298168; a charge of £10 per item will be made on behalf of Macmillan Cancer Support. The number of valuations that can be carried out is limited and will be on a first come first served basis.

The event begins at 11.30am when you are welcome to enjoy a drink in the hotel's cocktail bar before sitting down to a two-course lunch in the award winning Bowaters riverside restaurant at 12.30pm. A stylish lunchtime venue, the four AA red star hotel overlooks the Thames at Marlow Bridge.
