Macdonald Rusacks Hotel in St Andrews was recently named Best Large Hotel of the Year at the prestigious Scottish Golf Tourism Awards held in Edinburgh.  The annual event is widely regarded as the 'Oscars of the golfing world'.

It was chosen as the official headquarters for the R&A during the 2013 Open Championship in the summer, and now the award-winning Macdonald Marine Hotel & Spa has added another golfing accolade to its collection - picking up theAccommodation Experience of the Year Award 2013at the Golf Tourism Excellence Awards.  This most recent accolade closely follows Macdonald Hotels & Resorts winningAA Hotel Group of the Year 2013/14.

Macdonald Portal Hotel, Golf & Spa's golf sales assistant in Cheshire has been crowned the prestigious Cheshire Champion for the second year running. Emma Goddard from Halewood in Liverpool competed in the three-day competition, which recognises talented golfers and is open to any Cheshire Club player with a maximum handicap of seven.
