On the gently lapping shores of Loch Rannoch, this 19th century former shooting lodge is surrounded by some of Scotland’s most definitive scenery: deep lochs, winding rivers, lush woodland and the mighty peak of Schiehallion.

A wide variety of wildlife may be sighted on and around Schiehallion, including golden eagles, stonechats, ptarmigan, red deer and mountain hare.

An easy drive from the hotel is the charming town of Pitlochry, home to the renowned Festival Theatre and Scotland’s smallest distillery. A little further on you’ll find the dramatic Pass of Killiecrankie and Blair Castle, home to Scotland’s only private army. A rural retreat it may be, but Loch Rannoch is no far flung destination.
