Wedding Photographs

Having photographed weddings all over the UK for over 20 years, I'm familiar with many wedding venues.

One of my particular favourites is Linden Hall in Northumberland, which is a beautiful and relaxed setting for wedding photography. In good weather, the immaculate gardens provide a variety of lush backgrounds, suitable for group photographs of any size.

Guests are usually served drinks and canapés on the front lawn during the photography, creating an informal and fun atmosphere. The front steps are very useful for really large group photographs and the tall stone columns help to make the main façade a very grand setting, especially for car shots. The gardens on Linden's east side are more open than the front, with more colours in the borders. For those who like a more rustic, less manicured setting, walking a few metres down the drive provides a lot of opportunities for shots in the woods. If you're lucky, you might even see some deer.

In poor weather, Linden's interior is versatile enough to cope with small groups (I suggest the Drawing Room) and large groups (the main staircase), and the décor is tasteful and cosy, wherever you are. The cocktail bar is perfect for spontaneous drinking/chatting photographs and the Bridal Suite is a sumptuous location for more personal shots of the Bride and Groom.

As a setting for wedding photographs, few venues can match Linden Hall and I always look forward to working there.
