Horse Riding in the Lake District
The best way to explore the magical forests and lakeside trails of the Lake District is on the back of a horse. Beginners, intermediates and experts can saddle-up for a trekking adventure through the area's unspoiled wilderness.
Children and adults of all ages and abilities can enjoy a relaxing ride from the Sockbridge Pony Trekking Centre along the winding country lanes and fells that overlook beautiful Ullswater,. Make friends with a native Cumbrian fell pony at the Lakeland Pony Trekking Centre, where small children can enjoy short, supervised rides of half an hour or learn to gallop on the sands of Silecroft Beach with the help of a skilled instructor from the Murthwaite Green Centre.
