Macdonald Golf Season 2005/2006

The Costa del Sol has earned a reputation as the leading destination for winter golf in Europe and aims to maintain that position by continuous investment in both existing and new golf courses. Among the many exciting new courses is the Santana Golf & Country Club, just 10 minutes from the Dona Lola Club, where you are sure to receive a warm and friendly welcome before pitting your expertise against this new Cabell Robinson creation.

Should you wish to experience some of the local courses please complete this form in full and our experienced golf staff will be delighted to make all the necessary reservations for you. We shall then be able to have the vouchers ready for collection on your arrival and all green fees will be charged to your apartment account.

Early booking is essential, to ensure the tee times and courses of your choice, and please make sure you advise us of the handicaps of the players as some courses require this information prior to making a reservation.

Macdonald Resorts “Golfer of the Year”

Our Owners & Guests competition at La Quinta Golf & Country Club was, as usual, very well supported and was played on 24 separate weeks throughout the season.

Late in the season a score of 39 points by Leila Playa Owner Alan Bell was just sufficient to defeat Pete Voase and John Fear both of whom had scored 38 points. Congratulations to Alan who dons the “Golfer of the Year” mantle and wins a week’s accommodation for two people at any of the Macdonald Resorts in either Spain or the UK. Well done to Michael Congdon who created his own bit of excitement when he achieved a Hole-in-One on the second hole of the C course.

If you wish to enter this competition it is imperative to pre-book as only limited spaces are available. Please complete the form overleaf and send it to us without delay, your entry may then be confirmed for this friendly competition played on a delightful golf course.
