the English Golf Union, the governing body for male amateur golf in
England. The EGU is one of the largest sports governing bodies in
England looking after the interests of over 1,900 golf clubs and
680,000 club members. It is a non-profit organisation run for the
benefit of the game and its players.
In 2011, Macdonald Hotels & Resorts joined forces with the
EGU to support the YourEGU initiative - a scheme set up by the
organisation to provide English club golfers with exclusive member
benefits and offers, including discounted room rates across our
hotels.
