Welcome to YORKSHIRE BRIDGE at Gisborough Hall
Bridge is fun, stimulating, social and suitable for all ages - without doubt, the best card game ever.
Now you can learn to play Bridge in the comfortable surrounding of Gisborough Hall Hotel with Jack Stocken, who offers professional yet friendly Bridge tuition in the region, from complete beginners to advanced players. Most people come on their own to classes but try and persuade a friend if you can.

Beginners Bridge Day

10am - 4pm with a lunch break

This really does mean Beginner; either for people who have never touched a playing card in their lives or for those who learnt in the distant past. Starting from scratch but by the end of the day you will be able to play Bridge! Emphasis is on fun and enjoyment although you will be given clear notes.

Intermediate Bridge Day (part 2)

10am - 4pm with a lunch break

Aimed at those who already play Bridge and need bringing up to date with the modern game. The day covers many basic aspects of the game. You will learn about Double, Playing No Trumps, Overcalling (SQOT), Strong Twos, Blackwood (also Quantative) and more. Set hands are used to illustrate the lessons and they will also test your card play. There is no need to have attended previous Bridge Days.

£49 per day including tuition, lunch, teas and coffee

Jack Stocken

Jack has recently moved back to his native Yorkshire, having managed the Andrew Robson Bridge Club for the past seven years. He is now teaching Bridge in the same style of the London Club with an emphasis on a friendly atmosphere and enjoyment of the game.
