Weddings - Frequently Asked Questions

Ceremony:
We normally hold Civil Ceremonies in the stunning Garden Restaurant with views over Loch Ard & Ben Lomond, which can hold up to 120 people. The cost for this is £200.00. You will need to organise the registrar personally as legal issues are involved. There will be an additional fee for this, payable to the registrar.

Reception Drinks:
We like to use our Front Lounge as this allows full access to the outdoor terrace and landscaped gardens – a fabulous location for your photographs to be taken. The lounge will be reserved before and after the time of your ceremony.

Wedding Meal & Evening Reception:
The Garden Suite is our largest function room with a dance floor. It will comfortably seat up to 120 people for the wedding meal and up to 150 people for the evening reception. We can also cater for smaller numbers (up to 45 people) in our beautifully appointed Lomond Suite, which has stunning views over Loch Ard. There is no additional charge for the hire of either room. The cost for the wedding meal will be dependent on your chosen menu. The costing for drinks is based on the drinks package that you decide upon.

Evening Buffet:
The Evening Buffet is normally served in the alcove adjoining the Garden Restaurant. The timing of the buffet will be subject to the requirements of your entertainment. Generally we recommend a time around 22H00. We do offer an assortment of options so again costs will be reflected in your selection.

Corkage & Outside Catering:
We do not allow corkage.
Unfortunately we do not allow you to provide your own food items. This is a Food Hygiene regulation.

What do we / you provide:
We can provide menus, place cards, a Toastmaster, tea lights & a cake stand if required.
We ask that you organise your own entertainment, piper, photographer, flowers, cake & centre pieces. We do have many contact numbers. Please let us know your requirements so we are able to provide you with additional resources.

Minimum Numbers:
During peak times throughout the year for a Wedding on a Saturday, we ask for your party size to be greater than 70 people.

Accommodation:
On the night of your wedding we welcome you to stay in our Bridal Suite on a complimentary basis. This will include your breakfast the next morning. We will also allocate for you 10 rooms at a reduced B&B rate. All other rooms will be allocated at our advertised rate.

Provisional Booking:
We can hold a specific date for you for up to 14 days. Should someone else request this date within this time, we will contact you for a decision. If you wish to extend this provisional booking for more decision time, just let us know.

Deposit:
In order to confirm your booking we require a £500 non-refundable deposit. Once this is received, we will prepare a contract and a running schedule for you. A menu tasting is offered at this time.
