I just wanted to thank you for managing our lunch yesterday. The whole day went off without a hitch. The speaker, with the screens kindly arranged by you, was a great success. The food was absolutely delicious, and the staffs were brilliant with quick and efficient service. Thank you also for putting the cordials on the table. The coffee was delicious, and the biscuits were heaven. The room looked lovely, the tree, the lovely table decorations, the delectable mince pies, and also the crackers, which were a bonus. The whole day was perfect, and I would like to thank you all for making it so successful.

I have not organised an event like this before, and I learnt a lot from it. The main thing that I realised is that the tickets must be non-refundable. Exceptionally, many of our members cancelled, mainly through illness, but we gave them their money back, which left us in a difficult position, so it was so good of you to agree that we paid only for what we ate, and it made me feel much easier.

Your kindness and efficiency were second to none, and we hope to use your hotel and conference facilities many more times.

Wedding at Macdonald Portal Hotel, Golf & Spa, 21st December 2008

Many thanks for all your, and the teams, hard work on our wedding last year. I can honestly say that both myself and Liz were extremely impressed with the whole day. After several months of stress and trying to organise everything I could not have been happier with the food, layout, staff etc... I would have no hesitation in recommending your hotel to anyone who I know that will be getting married.

Boxing Day Lunch 26th December 2008

Hi

Just a note to say thank you for a wonderful day on Boxing Day, the food and service was excellent and the whole family enjoyed the day. We found the atmosphere relaxing in lovely surroundings and we shall definitely be back to the restaurant again.

New Years Eve 31st December 2009

Hello - I have been meaning to email for weeks- sorry it's late!

I just wanted to say thank you - i attended the New Years Eve party with a few friends and we all had a brilliant time!

The food was excellent- please pass on our complements to the chef! The steak was particularly good- perfectly cooked!
The room looked lovely and had a great atmosphere, and of course the band was brilliant and got everyone up dancing (but of course I'm biased on that one!)

I think you must have upgraded our bedrooms as they were a really good size - and loved the speakers in the bathroom and the HD TV!

I honestly couldn't fault anything during our stay - the only thing that would have made it better would be if the party had gone on longer!
