Proper Scotch Pancakes 'wi' Cranachan


  • 200g plain flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 large egg
  • 300ml milk


  1. Add dry ingredients to a mixing bowl
  2. Beat egg and milk into dry mixture
  3. Heat frying pan to medium and add oil
  4. Fry a ladleful of batter until golden on both sides and serve with flavoured accompaniment
  5. Whip up double cream, add toasted oats, whisky and honey.  Mix together and put on the warm pancakes with some raspberries
